This “fantastic small hotel in remote northwest Scotland” serves “fresh fish and seafood to die for from the local waters” – Loch Glendhu is just the other side of the slipway, and there’s an “amazing view across the water from the dining room window on a sunny evening”. “A great place to stop in an area not over-supplied with good restaurants”.

In a “fantastic remote Highlands setting”, this 17th-century inn beside a slipway onto Lock Glendhu serves “fabulous meals”, with “seafood that is quite different”. “Views over the bay are outstanding, even when the rain is falling”.

“It takes a while to get to” this “jewel” of a hotel dining room in a remote corner of the Highlands, where diners are richly rewarded by “wonderful New England décor” (if a somewhat “basic” one), “amazing” loch views and some “excellent” catch (one reporter actually “saw the seafood being landed and entering the kitchen!”)
