“A mission to get to but oh so worth it!” – this “busy inn on the Applecross peninsula” is “an amazing spot with a great welcome” serving “dependably top-notch fresh seafood”. Our worst report this year? – “the food’s perfectly acceptable and the service and atmosphere made for an enjoyable evening”.

“Super-fresh seafood amidst some of the most dramatic scenery” is the draw to this “exceptionally busy” Highlands inn. “It’s a pub that does proper pub food (and I don’t mean the sort of gastro-pub stuff that most pubs do now, but old-school pub grub, with red onion in the salad and sliced brown bread), but what a location” and with “seafood, in particular, that’s worthy of a ‘posh’ dining room”; “good craic” too.

A “stunning” Highlands peninsula setting adds a sense of drama to this “very busy but well-organised” restaurant-with-rooms; add in “consistently good” and “great value” food (local catch being the speciality) and it’s easy to see why it has such a “loyal fanbase”.

“The restaurant (with rooms) at the end of the universe” – or at least a remote Highlands peninsula; notwithstanding this, it’s “always worth the intergalactic journey” (“along alpine roads”) to get there, due to its “wonderful fresh fish” and “amazing views”.
