Harden's survey result
This “glitzy shed” has a strong reputation locally for its “great breakfasts”: “excellent omelettes and light dishes or more substantial fare, if that's what is needed to set you up for the day. Good coffee is served with iced water – a simple touch but so rare!". Later on, it’s “bistro in style with service all day” – there’s “reduced tapas-type options since Covid but still a choice of well prepared specials if you want more than a salad or sandwich”, plus “a carefully chosen selection of wines and beers or a fun choice of cocktails”.
A “trendy café” in a “hut-type building”, where you can start the day with “delicious coffee and breakfast rolls” (or more indulgent fare including a full English) before segueing into “nice lunchtime food” (despite the “limited kitchen”); they also do dinner from Thursday to Saturday.
For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
