Fans are “happy to report the continued success and popularity of owner Desmond’s venture on the north Norfolk coast” – lionised in a BBC TV series, and combining “really good freshly cooked” farm food with “lots of outside space to run around in”.

“Rustic cafe made famous by a TV series” (‘Normal for Norfolk’) and serving “all local produce” that’s “reasonably priced”, and largely sourced from the fruit farm where it sits, overlooking the marshes and sea. Bonus points for being “great with small children”, and having “lots of room outside to run around”.

Overlooking the marshes and sea, this “quirky” fruit farm café has a “super location” and a “great menu for all ages” (with “lots for children to eat and look at”, plus “plenty of space to run around”).

For 30 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Lunch outside due to Covid restrictions but it was reasonably well organised, with ‘wet wipes’ on every table and a buzzer system for collecting your food. Food was fine but not particularly refined; a victory of quantity over quality."
