Revamped in summer 2018, this fifteenth-century pub-with-rooms nowadays incorporates a stylish dining conservatory, which – notwithstanding the odd downbeat report – scored very highly this year with its earthy, high quality cooking.
This 15th century hotel in rolling Herts countryside has been under the aegis of Anglian Country Inns since mid-2017, with an ongoing revamp already adding a new barn conversion juggling weddings and a vibrant bar; on the food front, the MO has changed to farm-to-fork and is gaining decent marks (more feedback please!).
Limited but very upbeat feedback on this family-run hotel, set in the Hertfordshire countryside. In mid 2017 it was acquired by the local group Anglian Country Inns, who have announced a two-year upgrading programme and the introduction of a more field-to-fork culinary approach.
