For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Told that they could not cater for us in the restaurant - as we looked at a room with only three tables full. Couldn't face going elsewhere in the rain so we ate in the bar. Tardy service, but the Fougasse, when it arrived, was good and my partner liked her burger. There is a lot of evidence of underinvestment, which has knocked the hotel down from it's heights on opening. Now it doesn't warrant any kudos over other establishments in the center of Harrogate. "
