“Adventurous taste combinations, very consistently delivered” via a good selection of “innovative small plates” score top marks this year for this Finnieston gastropub. Service is “lovely too” and the only gripe is that some seats are “a wee bit cramped”.
“Cheery” but hip and foodie-forward Finnieston boozer offering “good value” Scottish-slanted small plates from a vast menu, alongside “interesting wines”; a Middle Eastern sibling, BABA, opened on the city’s prime artery George St in November 2017.
This converted Finnieston pub is “a trendy, high-ceilinged venue with a casual vibe”, whose Scottish take on tapas “offers creative, contemporary, relaxed sharing dining, with food that’s innovative, more-ish and well worth a visit”. In autumn 2017, they announced an Edinburgh spin-off called Baba to open in the New Town.
