Summary
This “glorious spot” by the sea, close to the SW coastal path and with a front-conservatory to take advantage of sea views, was taken over by high-profile chef Michael Caines of Lympstone Manor in 2020. Quell hopes of any culinary fireworks, though – reports here didn’t hit the heights this year, with the experience too often “let down by chaotic service and pedestrian food”.

"I really enjoyed the food and culinary experience here, a great menu (though puddings didn't inspire me much), fast service, nicely presented and a real treat with the unexpected amuse bouche. Ambiance was a bit stark and could do with warming up and matching up more to the food experience. I really hope word spreads and people discover this newly opened gem and get behind it. "
