“Surprisingly exceptional” – this recent newcomer occupies a converted old bank on the high street that’s been stylishly refurbished and where Ed Pook “specialises in using local produce and foraging for ingredients” to provide a very high quality offering, with prime steak something of a speciality (but by no means the defining factor). “The addition of a wine store allows them to stock a long list of wines by the glass”. “Excellent – worth a visit”.

For 29 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
