Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Great atmosphere , service , building & position by the river. Food can be a bit hit & miss. Sometimes you go & the food is really good other times not so good but never bad. Pizzas sometimes come with loads of crusts & can be floppy in the middle. Other times crispy & less crust. Good place to go as there is something for everybody & dishes are always freshly cooked."
"Partner to the better known Cafe des Amis, with a nice situation on the banks of the Stour. Weather permitting, the outside tables are better than the rather gloomy interior. The pizzas are way nicer than the chains' offerings. "
"Sister & a slightly posher restaurant to the fun Cafe Des Amis is very good so long as you don't have the pizzas which have big crusts & are floppy in the middle & on this occasion the crusts came out black as they were burnt."
