Harden's says

The One Bull reopened on 1 February 2018 after a four month closure to repair extensive fire and water damage. Although the pub's ethos remains the same - seasonal produce and great wines in comfortable surroundings - the team has taken the opportunity to launch some new menus.

Summary

“The simple, effective and enjoyable food is a real surprise in terms of quality” but the big deal is the “cracking beer and wine”“on a different level for an independent regional pub” – at this “absolutely buzzing” haunt (part of a group incorporating the local Brewshed Brewery).

Owner's description

We are a pub in the historic heart of Bury St Edmunds offering fresh, seasonal, regional food, an award winning wine list & our own Brewshed ale.

We know that not everyone wants the same thing from a pub. You might want a pint of local real ale at the bar... A bottle of wine and a grazing board on the sofas... A meal in the dining room... A really good coffee and a read of the paper... Take your pick.If real ale is your thing, look no further.

We offer our own Brewshed beers brewed at our craft brewery just down the road.

We're passionate about wine and have created an award winning wine list which offers a selection of old favourites combined with some more unusual and quirky wines. The common theme is that we believe they are all well made wines offering good value for money. Every single one of our wines are available by the glass (except some champagnes).

On the food side, the emphasis is on good quality, seasonal produce and, wherever possible, we source it locally. We love Sunday lunch and offer a great roast - bring the family or meet up with friends and catch up on your week.
We're open from noon until late. So if you're in need of a locally roasted coffee in the afternoon, you know where to come.

Free wi-fi is available throughout the pub.
