Maison Bleue Restaurant Diner Reviews
"We have enjoyed several meals at Maison Bleue, ranging from evening meals with friends through lunchtime family birthday celebrations to a large family gathering to celebrate visiting family members who live abroad. Each and every meal has been superb along with faultless service from the team of friendly, attentive and highly professional staff. Whether you choose meat or fish dishes, you will be thrilled by beautifully presented creations that offer exciting yet refined flavours and textures. A cheese selection such as this is really only available in France; amazing! The carefully chosen drinks menu ensures that there is always wonderful wine to match your food choices. Even the bread is authentically French. Baguette as good as this is very difficult to come by outside of France. We’ll be visiting again very soon. Can’t wait!"
"I love it here. Easily serves the best food in the area. The food is delicious and the service excellent. I prefer the atmosphere in the front of the restaurant (5 stars) as I find the back room lacking in atmosphere. Can't wait to return."
"A gorgeous meal and overall lovely experience. Nice long lazy lunch on a Friday afternoon. We were the last to leave around 4pm and felt under no pressure to leave. Food was presented to such high standards and the service was very professional and friendly. I congratulate them on their success and award."
"The best restaurant by far in East Anglia. Never fails to please with delicate seasonal produce beautifully and deliciously presented. Service is impeccable but never over-formal or stuffy. Atmosphere is always relaxed and elegant. Absolutely recommended."
"This visit was below the usual high standard. The starter was a savoury panna cotta but instead of a wobbling delight it was a hard cold disk stuck on the bottom of a plate with the flavour of something that has been left in the fridge too long. The souffle dessert was uncooked at the bottom. Having said that our fish main courses (cod and hake) were perfection, justifying their numerous accolades. And my partner's cheese dessert was a most wonderful and generous selection. With other fine restaurants in Bury they cannot afford to let their standards slip."
