"The restaurant has a small menu depending on what is available that day. Three small starters are set and there is a choice of three mains, meat, fish and vegetarian, with standard side dishes. A simple proposition but it works well, with all the food very well cooked and with lots of flavour. Service was friendly and welcoming; my only criticism is that the room was a bit chilly, but it was a wet night at the end of August so they won't have thought to put any heat on."

"A likeable place with decent cooking. Just too expensive. The impression was a focus on an easier life for chef. No choice of starter although to be fair, the three small sharing vegetable plates were quite nice. Choice of one fish, one meat and one veggie main all with the same sides of lettuce and lots of potato. Finally a pricey chocolate mousse which tasted fine but dropped on the plate with zero finesse. Biggest gripe was best part of £50, including tip, for four small (125ml) glasses of just ok French table wine."
