This “magical” pasta specialist has in three short years launched cousins Ben Harvey & Dominic Borel as key Bristol restaurateurs. “Authentic-sounding but unusual and delicious pasta sauces” contribute to the “wonderful gastronomic experience” at this “laid-back and intimate” venue. See also Pasta Ripiena, La Sorella and Bianchi’s (named after their Italian grandfather Aldo Bianchi).
Cousins Ben Harvey & Dominic Borel have made a big impact since opening their Cotham venture two years ago (voted Best Italian in Bristol’s Good Food Awards 2018): a professional operation with a “wide range of interesting and innovative” pasta options. (Their follow-up, Pasta Ripiena – Britain’s first ravioli restaurant – opened a year ago to equal acclaim, with Ben’s brother Joe, ex-Bell’s Diner and Bellita, running the kitchen).
“Fab homemade pasta” is unsurprisingly the star of this “lively” establishment – “another good addition to the Cotham Hill scene”, which has made waves since opening in 2016. Owners Ben Harvey and Dominic Borel are slated to open a ravioli bar, in the city’s banking district, in November 2017, with Ben’s chef brother Joe (ex-of local icon Bellita) at the helm.
