For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"An honest and really friendly welcome from the staff started things well, and got better! It's in a lovely location, and the interior is comfortable without being chintzy or flash - it makes you feel at home, as do the staff. The food was inventive (The fish pie from the specials that day was filling and wonderfully flavourfull.) There's an interesting selection of beers, but sadly we couldn't check the wine list as we were driving - next time !"
"Back on form after an iffy couple of years. Good quality, relatively unexciting food . Eat outside if you can."
