Harden's survey result
A “very popular” veggie veteran of nearly four decades’ standing in the same complex as the eponymous cinema and jazz café (cue film and food deals); there’s “plenty of choice for pizza lovers” and “despite being busy”, service remains “efficient”.
“Just an absolute joy” – a “superior vegetarian restaurant in a spacious and interesting room under the cinema of the same name” (and where, like its nearby sibling Fellini’s, there are “great deals” to be had if you opt to combine food and a film).
Nigh on the “only decent pizza in Cumbria” is just one of the draws to this “fun” combined cinema, concert hall and veggie outfit (the older, more casual sibling to Fellini’s); the “‘meal plus film’ offers are always superb value too”.
“An old favourite” with a “happy atmosphere” offering “consistently good vegetarian food” (although you “forget it’s just vegetarian”), particularly pizza. It’s longer-established, but its appeal is still very “competitive with” Fellini's (the site’s chicer, newer veggie). Combi-tickets to the attached jazz bar or cinema are “especially good value”.
