‘The best sea view in the West Country’ is the proud boast on the website of this beautifully situated establishment, which for some nostalgics in our poll “is like hotels used to be, but with a quirky edge”. There’s a breakfast, afternoon tea and bar menu – the latter with “tasty fare” such as steak, fish ’n’ chips and other brasserie-style dishes, as well as sharing platters.
