Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"This. relaxed shabby chic hotel in the pretty village off Painswick has nice rooms and a comfortable restaurant. The food is enjoyable and locally sourced,, and the staff are cheerful and helpful - to the extent of setting up a table in a bar so we could have our dog with us."
