“Great freshly ground coffee” at this hipster indie coffee shop has proved the foundation for a national chain. Founded in 2012, they now have branches in 17 locations around the country, although the flagship venue in a panelled 17th Century coaching inn off the city centre’s Market Square receives the most attention.

“Coffee that packs a punch and plenty of good food options” set the tone at this “simply fab” indie coffee shop, now the HQ of a national group with 10 shops and five barista schools in the Midlands, the North and Cardiff. The name derives from the Centigrade temperature at which they roast coffee (slightly lower than most rivals) and the Fahrenheit temperature at which they serve it.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
