“The freshest fish tapas” are to be found at this “seasonal-only seafood bar” (closed November to March), where the “speedy service” comes “with a smile”; it’s a “limited space” and “doesn’t take bookings, so getting in is often a lottery”.

For 30 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Unable to get a table in 2016 visited twice...

"Unable to get a table in 2016 visited twice in 2020. Well worth the wait and the queue on the bridge. Arrangements for Covid reduce the seating but the brisk but never rushed turnaround, the young and enthusiastic staff and superb food (very fresh and excellently prepared and presented food) made each visit a joy. I cannot recommend too highly, a significant highlight of a week in Cornwall akin to the world famous Minack theatre on a brilliantly sunny afternoon. Highly recommended."
