The “excellent Persian food” at this “friendly” Jesmond spot wins high ratings for “one of the cheapest restaurants in Newcastle for cooking of high quality”. A more central branch near the station has closed down.
Eat like a king amid carpets, cushions and multi-coloured lamps at this “consistently terrific” suburban staple (also with Jesmond sibling); it delivers Persian dishes “full of flavour” in a “very convivial atmosphere”.
One of the city’s best-kept secrets for 17 years, this brightly coloured, carpet-clad staple on the outskirts continues to offer “something different” – namely “good quality food” with an “authentic Persian taste”. A four-year-old Jesmond sibling is also “excellent value for money and as good as the original”.
On the city outskirts, this local favourite “continues to impress” with its “deliciously spiced Middle Eastern cuisine (part-Persian, part-Turkish)” and in “substantial portions” too; for new converts, it’s something of “a revelation… how did we miss this before?!”
