Summary
“Absolutely superb fish counter and restaurant” – this Gloucestershire institution provided one reporter’s “best meal of the year”. Founded by William Beeston in 1975, it has been run since his retirement 12 years ago by Ed & Helen Playne, who have doubled the size of the restaurant and installed a cocktail bar. “As locals, we’re very lucky to have them on our doorstep”.
