“Everything is cooked well and flavourful” at this modern brasserie in the centre of town. “It may be unfair to label it as cheap ’n’ cheerful, but it’s certainly very good value”.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Very poor experience on the 25th Nov . The place needs a lock of paint, scuffed canteen style tables. I ordered the Burrata to start , frankly it was a joke , not a delicious creamy ball of mozzarella but a piece of white skin off the cheese pulled over the tomatoes . Such a disappointment. Main course , the wonder that is monk fish , sadly not this time ! So over cooked , deep fried in a breaded coating and a texture like rubber . What a waste of a brilliant fish . No second drink offered either.. what a let down , two courses done in 45 mins! Crazy fast , would never go back"
