Scandi-influenced small eatery and gallery that’s become one of the best known in Shoreditch on Sea, thanks to its “friendly service and interesting food” – primarily fish, and also some local cheeses and charcuterie (plus one or two veggie options). Opening in winter 2019, a neighbouring natural wine bar from the same team, so that visiting hipsters feel even more at home, called ‘Big Naturals’.
“Tiny” and “quirky” this cupboard-sized eatery and gallery may be, but no one doubts its “delicious food”, not least the “terrific fresh fish” it specialises in.
“Tiny, cramped, uncomfortable” – there’s no debate about the limitations of this sardine-sized spot, but then again there’s also practically none about its major asset: “delicious” food (with a “strong emphasis on seafood, with flavours influenced by the chef’s travels”) whose “freshness cannot be gainsaid”.
