Our reviews are based on an annual survey of ordinary diners which runs in Spring each year. But this establishment has not yet gathered enough feedback for our editors to write it up.

Do you think it deserves to be better known?

Write a quick review now using our restaurant diary service. That way it might catch our attention. Next survey, you can transfer your diary entry into our survey system. Everyone who contributes 5 or more reviews in our survey will qualify for a free guide.

For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"The cook on the stones concept has a bit of fun attached to it but in all honesty, I'd probably rather pay that price and have someone knowing what they're doing take control. All felt a bit 'gimmicky' which I guess is the point to some extent. Service was fine, gains a mark for keeping the table water topped up. Where I was impressed though was the setting, it was nice and relaxed despite being in the bustle of Covent Garden and had a really pleasant feeling to it. There are better places for sure but it does a job and is a bit of fun"

"Wouldn’t be a natural first choice, however table available for pre theatre. Staff friendly and welcoming. Asked about allergies and double checked, don’t have QR capabilities, so staff very helpful with menu guidance, overheard nearby table with allergies being helped as well. Limited menu but portions generous, shared chips and broccoli which were ample. Good range of soft drinks, including high end soda and tonic options. Restaurant became busy and more staff appeared.
