For 35 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Longed to try this place and went with great expectations but they were dashed by highly variable dishes, some good, some much less so. The poussin came with tiny amounts of sauce, the glass noodles were fine if unexceptional, the prawn toasts (with a weird title) were fine, best of all was the mandarin margerita and the lychee sorbet. Not too expensive but nor it should be. Lovely setting but the food needs to crank up to reflect it. "
