Harden's survey result
A “wonderful location” on Fulham’s Thames-side pedestrian path, with Craven Cottage and the River Café a few minutes’ walk in either direction, is the strong suit of this spacious gastropub, which has a “quality food and drink offering”. In milder weather there’s a “fabulous asado grill in the garden, with a great range of vegan and vegetarian options”. The atmosphere swings from tranquil midweek to rammed on sunny weekends and match days.
“Local pub in a super setting on the Thames” just along from the River Café, with a spacious interior, large garden and cute riverside terrace. The food’s not especially gastro, but well-realised and dependable. One caution – the tranquil garden by the river can have a very different atmosphere on busy summer weekends or Fulham match days at nearby Craven Cottage.
For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
