Harden's survey result
Inspired by the cuisine of countries bordering the Black Sea – and with a particular focus on the food of Odessa (it’s named for that city’s famous writer, Isaac Babel, and fresh fish is flown in from Odessa’s Pryvoz market), this swanky-looking newcomer set up shop in a super-chichi Mayfair mews in May 2018, just as the survey was coming to a close. Feedback was too sparse for a rating, but the first report is encouraging – “ate just after opening with Ukrainian friends; excellent food; good wine list; will work well once it gets going properly”.
For 31 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
