“Some amazingly tasty dishes” – of a funky, western-influenced Japanese genre – again earn high ratings for this “really delightful” Soho outfit (the brainchild of Australian chef, Ross Shonhan, creator of the Bone Daddies group). “It may not quite count as cheap ’n’ cheerful, but the tasting menu is a bargain for £30” – in fact, it may be a better choice than going off-piste, where “the bills rack up quickly”. Top Tip – “deliciously indulgent green tea ice cream dessert”.
“Perfect Westernised Japanese food” – Bone Daddies’s Soho sister has a “hip atmosphere and great staff”, and provides an object lesson in “how to do fusion cuisine”. “The tasting menu is a bargain at £30 as it includes all their signature dishes”. Top Tip: “Kinako French toast with Matcha is a delight” – “how can bread and ice cream be this good?”.
“Genuinely fantastic”, westernised-Japanese joint in Soho – “a busy, bright, well-staffed sister to the wonderful Bone Daddies”, offering “a great all-round experience”. Top Menu Tip – “that dessert! Kinako French Toast with the Matcha soft serve! Got me into green tea!”
“Power-packed”, taste combinations of “wonderful Japanese-Western hybrid dishes” are served by “laid back” but “very knowledgeable” staff at this “hip” Bone Daddies sibling, near Cambridge Circus: “creative, unusual” and “amazing value for money”.
