Harden's survey result
“In a slightly barren part of town” – just behind Bond Street tube – this “little gem” opened in summer 2017, with two young chefs (Alex Harper, ex-Harwood Arms and Mark Jarvis, ex-Anglo) inspired by the modern Parisian bistro movement. It’s a “great concept” with accomplished cuisine (“a showcase of ingredients and technique”), “accommodating service” and “a thoughtful wine list”.
On paper, this summer 2017 newcomer near the top of New Bond Street has a fine pedigree – Alex Harper was formerly head chef at The Harwood Arms and Mark Jarvis is chef-patron of Anglo. As the name hints, it’s inspired by the modern bistros of Paris, offering a short à la carte plus, in the evening, a 6-course tasting menu. Early press reports on its creative modern European dishes wax lyrical.
