Harden's says

On the former site as Bernardi's (RIP) and relaunched as a more casual place - inspired by Italian neighbourhood bars - by the same team; the Italian small plates menu comes from from ex-Dinings SW3 and Petersham Nurseries chef Yohei Furuhashi.

This four-year-old Italian restaurant just north of Marble Arch is a “handy place to eat in the area if you’re looking for an alternative to the local concentration of Lebanese/Persian restaurants”. It launched in the middle of the pandemic and has never perhaps had the audience it deserves.

The “sturdy” but “delicious Italian food” wins solid ratings for this smart-casual three-year-old on a corner near Marble Arch. The “pleasant surroundings” include a modern wood-panelled dining room and an agreeable 20-seat outside terrace.

Attractive casual two-year-old not far from Marble Arch, whose mid-pandemic opening perhaps robbed it of PR it might otherwise have generated. Feedback remains limited, but the response is all very good when it comes to the stylish interior; 20-seat outside terrace; and Italian cuisine (from pizza and pasta to some more ‘serious’ dishes).

Just off Edgware Road near Marble Arch, this attractive 80-seater yearling (with 20-seat outside terrace) serves a casual Italian menu, featuring pizza and pasta as well as some more substantial dishes. However, even those who feel the food is “good” say it can be “rather hit ’n’ miss” and when full the interior becomes “noisy”.

For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
