A Chelsea mainstay since the days of the Sloane Ranger Handbook, this backstreet gastroboozer is “fantastic for business lunches but also brilliant for fun socialising”. Its food scores are up again this year.
An age-old favourite backstreet boozer – albeit with a touch of “Chelsea elegance” – the ‘Cod’ is still “all in all a great place” when it comes to atmosphere, although its food offer has received a more mixed billing in recent times.
This popular, backstreet Chelsea boozer is still “a good old pub” to its fans, but an increasing number of regulars are calling time on its food. “I made the mistake of having a burger, once a Cod speciality. It isn’t now”, moaned one. “How can a place go downhill so quickly?” asked another.
