“Unchanged for donkey’s years!” – a “noisy and crowded”, old-school trattoria, near the rear entrance to Harrods, whose “at times flamboyant service” provides a heartily “friendly welcome”, plus traditional Italian cuisine, which loyal regulars declare “always reliable”.

Age-old trattoria near Harrods and Harvey Nichols that’s “lots of fun” to a crowd who, in some cases, have been coming for decades. Don’t let the “dated interior” put you off – the cuisine can be of a “very high standard”.

“Such fun, and unchanged in 30 years” – this “lively” veteran trattoria near Harrods thrives on its “very friendly” service (“we were welcomed like long lost friends on our first visit!”), and it’s also “not bad value for money in this busy neighbourhood”. Any negatives? – can be “noisy” and “a bit cramped”.

For 30 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
