Harden's survey result
“In a developing part of Woolwich (an area with lots of blocks of expensive flats going up all along the Thames waterfront, in the grounds of the old Woolwich Arsenal)”, this tiny, former guardroom provides a “quirky”, pre-Victorian setting (“exposed brick and candle-light”) for a meal. “The menu is small (like the place) but tempting – unlike many Italian restaurants where dishes often seem to be an Anglicised fudge, here the food tastes authentic”.
“A tiny (only 9 tables), really quirky restaurant in a fun, former military building” near the waterside in the historic setting of the Woolwich Arsenal. “A small menu of authentic Italian food” is served up “by genuine Italian chefs all from a tiny 300-year-old guard room which holds the open kitchen and restaurant”.
