Spicy scoff “continues to impress at this authentic and very busy Peckham fixture” – a corner site with terrace, which has been a well-known feature of the local food scene since 2012 (and was refurbed in December 2018). It’s not Thai-run: chef and co-owner Jane Alty worked at David Thompson’s much-vaunted Nahm (long RIP) back in the dim and distant past.
“As close to the food in Thailand as you’re likely to get in London”, this “good value” Peckham café has invigorated the southeast London culinary scene in recent years. “Go for the food” even if the no-bookings policy – which irritates some reporters – “can mean a long wait in The Victoria opposite”.
“Wonderful” if tightly packed Thai street-food café in Peckham that’s an “outpost of real excellence in SE London” thanks to its “short choice of genuinely spiced dishes”.
“Way above the level of anything else Thai for miles around Peckham” – this no-booking hotspot may be “more cramped than a hamster’s cage thanks to its popularity” (and “is not cheap”) but provides “friendly, accommodating service” and superbly “tasty, spicy food”.
