“Thank goodness for the view” – the “saving grace” at this riverside grill in the South Bank arts centre, sibling to its D&D London stablemate next door. For most reporters, the food is little better than “average” – “not so much dialling as texting it in these days. Such a shame as the space is so wonderful!”.
Like its more expensive adjacent sibling, this D&D London venue should be “the perfect venue to take visitors to London”, given its amazing views. But even more enthusiastic reports concede that “it doesn’t justify the price tag” however, and too often it serves food that’s “very poor for the price”.
“The best view in London”, overlooking the Thames from the “iconic Royal Festival Hall”, could make this huge D&D London venue the perfect place “to impress”. But while most reviews are more positive than at the adjacent restaurant, a few are similarly downbeat: “left feeling hungry and a little cheated price-wise”.
Skylon Grill Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Worth visiting for the "Saxy Saturday Brunch" featuring a nice but limited set menu but also bottomless Prosecco which draws in a crowd. Otherwise its pretty average despite having one of the best locations/views in London. B"
"This is a great looking venue with its enviable location overlooking the Thames. Service is always polite and relatively quick although at times it is difficult to attract attention when needed. Food is good if not exceptional but when attending a concert at the Festival Hall this is the only place to eat for convenience and quality."
