Harden's says
The Ned is a 252-room hotel, spa, gym, hamam and members' club, housed in the old Midland Bank HQ that was designed by Sir Edwin 'Ned' Lutyens. It's a joint venture between Soho House and American luxe hotel group Sydell, and is on an impressive scale, with no less then eight restaurants in the former banking hall; definitely one of the biggest openings in the City this year. Zobler's is an NYC-style Jewish delicatessen, serving up matzo ball soup, Reuben sandwiches and latkes.
Harden's survey result
Summary
“A great choice for a quick catch-up in the City” – this NYC-style Jewish deli operation vies with Cecconi’s within The Ned’s humongous food court as its most popular destination, and grabbing a dog, Reuben or burger here is also popular for a casual business meal (although conditions can be “extremely noisy”). Some of the dishes can be “ordinary” – its best feature is actually breakfast: “good coffee” (with unlimited refills) and lots of yummy options (“the Challah French toast is fantastic!”)
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
