Harden's says
A masterpiece of the Victorian age (designed by Sir Horace Jones who also built Tower Bridge and Leadenhall Market) – this incredible structure of wrought iron and glass is reborn in November 2026 as The London Museum’s new home. Amusingly, the museum has turned to London’s foodie Irish ‘Murphia’ to run all of it’s four eating venues in the shape of well-known Irishman John Nugent and his Green & Fortune group; plus prominent Dublin-born chef Robin Gill. There will be an all-day restaurant (Bartholomew’s); a café (Temperance Cocoa Rooms) and 14-cover incubator/ residency space (The Roost). And – as the flagship – this large, ground floor, all-day bistro within the spectacular General Market building with its own dedicated street entrance. On the menu is a suitably British Isles-based mix of meaty classics and pies (reflecting the heritage of the old market); Sunday Roasts; and, for fish-lovers, a ‘Billingsgate sandwich’.
