“Overlooking the gardens at RHS Harlow Carr”, which considerably add to the charms of this “lovely” branch of the well-known Yorkshire tea room chain. From the “magnificent” coffee to the breakfast and afternoon tea, it’s “always busy – with good reason”.
“The best of the Bettys tea rooms” according to fans, “this gorgeous café in the grounds of the exceptional RHS Harlow Carr gardens never disappoints, however crowded it gets”. It’s “a modern building with a palm-court-style ambience” and food-wise, it’s a “proper treat” (Welsh rarebit “stopped us talking for a while”, and “why can’t cups of tea always be as good as this?!”).
Offering “all the favourites from the café in town (cakes, sandwiches, pastries) without the excessive queues” – and with “wonderful views over Harlow Carr gardens” to boot, this branch of the celebrated tearooms “never ever lets you down”.
“The queues are testament to the success” of this “lovely modern pavilion” attached to the RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr (although some fans say it “avoids the crowding and parking problems of the famous Betty’s tearooms in the centres of Harrogate and York”). “There’s just the same menu: mouthwatering sandwiches, pastries and cakes”, and what’s more, “staff make you feel special” (and “are particularly good with people eating on their own”).
