There’s a “nice buzz” about this “trendy, artisan foodie restaurant with fabulous, ever-changing Italian small plates”, opposite Harrogate Convention Centre. ‘Stuzzichini’ are snacks typically served by Venetian osterias – but don’t worry about minuscule portions: this is “hugely enjoyable and satisfying food”, offered by “knowledgeable staff” alongside “some impressive wines”. They recently opened in Leeds too.
“Delicious and authentic Italian food” is “served with enthusiasm and knowledge in unfussy surroundings” at this hotel-brasserie. “Don’t be fooled by the ‘Italian tapas’ idea…the servings are full-size – maybe that’s the Yorkshire effect!”
With its “tatty school furniture” and “deli items on sale”, this Italian hotel-brasserie is “a most unexpected type of restaurant in Harrogate”, being “more typical of the trendier E London scruffy chic ascetic”. Add in “absolutely super authentic small plates” and it’s “very busy” indeed (“’twas packed on a Friday night – booking essential”).
This “difficult-to-pigeonhole” venture occupies a hip (for Harrogate) hotel-brasserie, playing “cool music”, and with flashes of funky decor. Its “limited but changing menu” of “Italian tapas” is a case of “simple food done really, really well”, and there’s “excellent wine” to go with it.
Stuzzi Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Average food and poor decor and ambiance. Not sure what is about. For me is just a coffe shop with poor quality food."
"Pretty much every "little plate" that you get is actually quite a big plate - We are in Yorkshire after all! Food is very good, pasta especially. The wine list has some serious Italian bottles, and with the buzzing atmosphere ensures a very convivial evening. I have also heard that the breakfasts are a thing to enjoy."
