“Very good food and friendly staff” inspire early applause for this two-storey opening, bang slap opposite the huge new St James Quarter. In a March 2022 review, The Scotsman’s Gaby Soutar declared herself a fan too – the “casual menu is quite large, and healthy-ish, with all-day breakfast and brunch dishes”: “Noon does the casual dining thing pretty well, and is exerting its own small, but efficient, gravitational pull” as “a good alternative for those who don’t want to find themselves in the St James Quarter again”.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
