Harden's survey result
Too limited survey feedback for a rating, but such reports as we have are very enthusiastic about this great gastropub near Droitwich; open 7 days a week serving a wide variety of food to suit all tastes. They even have beach huts out the back for outdoor summer dining.
This 120 seater pub is part of Warwickshire-based CD Pub Co, and relaunched after a major refurb in March 2016, featuring the group’s menu, majoring in steaks from well-known Coventry-based butcher Aubrey Allen.
For 30 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
Have you eaten at The Chequers at Crowle?
The CD Pub Co. is a family business and has undertaken the refurbishment using their internal complimentary skills. The interior design has been created by using a palette of rich colours with inspired hues of tartan fabrics and furnishings to bring the pub’s new style and décor to life with a contemporary twist.
Charles Harris, Operations director, confirms that the chance to introduce the CD Pub Co.’s successful formula to the village of Crowle for great food, at great value in a great atmosphere is very exciting, and the team is looking forward to becoming an integral part of village life.
From a drinks perspective there will be a wide range of local beers and cask ales available to complement an eclectic range of spirits and wines from around the world, offered by the bottle or glass.
CD Pub Co also runs The Stag at Offchurch and The Moorings at Myton near Leamington Spa and The Forest at Feckenham– All of which have won numerous industry awards for their high hallmark Anglo French cuisine.
