Michael has a wealth of experience as a top chef. From starting out at his local Northumberland pub as a pot wash, to working his way up at restaurants such as Fisherman’s Lodge in Newcastle, and Bouchon in Hexham, before coming the executive head chef at Slaley Hall Hotel, and most recently Malmaison Hotel in Dundee, Michael’s simple, elegant and well cooked food full of flavour will not disappoint.
We have 3 seperate restaurant rooms in total. Our front restaurant seats up to 20 people and the back restaurant up to 30 people. We also have a small private dining area seating up to 10 people.

"I have been meaning to go to the Barrasford Arms for a while, and after seeing they had won Pub of the Year at the North East Tourism Awards it prompted me to take a visit. They had their Christmas Fayre menu running, and all I can say is the pub definitely lives up to its name. A bargain £20 for 2 courses or £24 for 3 courses with the likes of their Cheese Souffle, beef main course which just melts in your mouth, and a salted caramel chocolate mousse to finish just leaves you completely satisfied. The whole menu was well balanced and had a great selection. To pair with that, they have a great selection of wines from Corney & Barrow to accompany the delicious food. We will definitely be back."
