The brothers have described the menu (overseen by Claude but delivered by head chef Justin West) as ‘English food from a Frenchman’; however it features traditional pub and comfort food favourites, including a roast on Sundays.
Dishes include: Crab on toast with spring leaf salad and mustard dressing; Lyonnaise salad with poached eggs, organic bacon and crispy croûtons; Rump of Welsh spring lamb with Moroccan mint pesto; Skate wing with beurre blanc, Jersey Royals and spring greens; The Swan burger; Treacle tart with clotted cream; and Rhubarb jelly and custard with Scottish shortbread.
As well as a 55-cover dining room, The Swan Inn also boasts six bedrooms and a 14-seater private dining room. The bedrooms will open from late June, and ranging from £60-£100.
The Swan Inn is open daily for lunch and dinner and, from early July, it will run a breakfast service from 7.30 am. Reservations lines are open on 01372 462 582.
