thesaltroomFrom the folks behind Brighton’s “great burgers and steak” joint The Coal Shed comes a seafood grill spot with an impressively lengthy cocktail list. The Salt Room will open on the seafront, in Kings Road, tomorrow (20 February).

Head chef Dave Mothersill has created a menu of sustainably sourced seafood dishes including cuttlefish, oysters, lobster, seabass and whole market fish to share cooked over charcoal on the Josper Grill. The legendary Coal Shed classic – 35 day dry aged Scottish steaks from the North Highlands will also make an appearance.

The 84-cover restaurant boasts one of Britain’s largest terraces, seating 55 diners, with uninterrupted sea views and a large 16-seater bar serving around 40 different cocktails.
