How would you like to spend an evening with Jason Atherton? What’s that? You would very much like to indeed?! Well it appears that your culinary dreams have come true as the acclaimed chef takes over the kitchen at Old Amersham gem Artichoke for one night only (10 June).
The charity event, which features a six course tasting menu created by Atherton and restaurant proprietor Laurie Gear, will aid a local charity called Drumbeats. It was set up by two Artichoke regulars to raise money for the Intensive Therapy Unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
The evening starts with a Heidseick champagne reception with canapés, followed by six courses and matching wines selected by Laure Party (Atherton’s head sommelier and recently installed in run Social Wine & Tapas in Marylebone) and Artichoke manager Matteo Scaccabarozzi.
After dinner there will be a live charity auction. Tickets for the event are £195.00 per person and include a signed copy of Atherton’s Social Suppers cook book, as well as dinner and wine. For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01494 726611.
