Featured Herefordshire Restaurants
. Toi Et Moi
French restaurant in Abbey Dore
Holling Grange - HR2
Cédric Lherbiers small French restaurant in the lovely Herefordshire countryside is a bit of a hidden gem, pairing wonderful locally sourced food and perfect hosts. Sample praise: every single element was spot-on, our favourite place for a long, lazy lunch.
. Beefy Boys
Burgers, etc restaurant in Hereford
Opened by four local friends, this hip, two-floor outfit a former pop-up has caused big waves locally since its launch just after Christmas 2015; the main event is superlative best burger Ive ever had and it has a handy location in a city-centre development.
. Riverside Inn
restaurant in Aymestrey
In a lovely riverside setting in an out-of-the-way corner of Herefordshire, this picturesque 16th century inn was taken over by longtime chef Andy Link in May 2016. An elegant French-style country chic refurb has added to its charms, and his locally sourced food remains unassuming but mouthwatering.
. Castle House Restaurant, Castle House Hotel
British, Modern restaurant in Hereford
Castle St - HR1
Swish Georgian townhouse hotel, in a splendid riverside setting overlooking gardens designed by Capability Brown. Food cooked with care and sometimes flair sometimes earns it tip as the best in Hereford doubters though find it pricey and feel it rather fancies itself.
. Three Tuns
British, Modern restaurant in Hay-on-Wye
4 Broad St - HR3
2014 Review: A haven during the Festival, not cheap but excellent! this elegant 16th-century gastropub is a real all-rounder, and the food is never rated less than decent.
Pizza restaurant in Hereford
38 - 39 Broad St - HR4
2015 Review: Unexciting, but adequate for a basic meal, these standard pizza-and-pasta operations are a paradigm of your typical chain restaurant.
Pizza restaurant in Hereford
20 Broad St - HR4
For the first 20 years of this guide, this famous pizza chain with its surprisingly distinctive branches was with tedious regularity the surveys most mentioned group: constantly re-inventing itself to remain everyones favourite standby, especially with kids in tow. Competition is sharper nowadays however, and since its ownership changed a couple of years ago (to Hony Capital) ratings and the volume of feedback have slipped well below their historical average. Yes, it is still much-mentioned, and still as reliable as ever to armies of loyal supporters, but harsher critics are stunned by the complacency and staleness of the brand: even the ubiquitous, good value voucher deals are starting to lose their shine.
. Butcher’s Arms
British, Modern restaurant in Woolhope
2014 Review: New owner Phil Vincent took this welcoming half-timbered inn over from Stephen Bull in late 2013; he has his work cut out to maintain the routinely inventive style of the former régime fingers crossed!
. Café at All Saints
Afternoon tea restaurant in Hereford
All Saints Church, High St - HR4
2014 Review: A fabulously unique café in a church, tipped not just for the best cappuccino in Herefordshire, but also an imaginative range of dishes a useful destination for tourists and locals alike.
