The Survey ResultDiary

“Fascinating” – that’s the verdict on Christoffer Hruskova’s “sterile”-feeling Danish newcomer, in Clerkenwell; some of his “challenging” (“weird”) flavours and food combos seem “misconceived”, but a striking number of reporters feel this is a “genuinely unique” experience that “really lives up to the hype!”

  • The Telegraph Zoe Williams (8th June 2011)
    4/10

I cannot put my finger on what constitutes nice lighting; all I can tell you is that North Road has it. Is it because of the Nordic lamps over the bar? Is it down to the tear-drop dining-room lights, which look gorgeous until a tall person stands up and hits themselves in the face, whereupon they look both gorgeous and comic?
  • Metro Marina O'Loughlin (13th December 2010)
    3/5 stars

It seems as though it’s impossible to review North Road without a mention of Copenhagen’s Noma, which, I imagine, must make Danish chef Christoffer Hruskova foam with rage into his sous vide water bath.
