2010 Review: A year-old shop conversion, near Ravenscourt Park tube; the Polish fare is “a bit variable, but when it’s good, it’s very good and authentic”.

Press Reviews (3)

  • The Sunday Telegraph Zoe Williams (19th August 2008)
    7/10

“Impressed, but also oppressively full”, the critic leaves this new Polish establishment, in Hammersmith, having broadly enjoyed the experience.
  • Evening Standard David Sexton (6th March 2008)
    1/5 stars

Gosh, here’s a break with precedent: David Sexton gets to do a proper (starred) review, as a supporting item to Ms Maschler’s own. She never ‘shares’ her column. What can this mean?
  • Time Out London Guy Dimond (20th February 2008)
    3/6

This new Polish restaurant in Shepherd’s Bush “tries to be cool and modern … but the result looks more like a hairdressing parlour in Gdansk”, says the critic, and the food seems rather in keeping. While essentially “sound” it is “let down by a misplaced desire to make the dishes more 'modern', or more visually appealing, or by the occasional lapse of ingredient quality”.
