With its “lovely views” (“across the Thames to the O2 dome”), this “beautifully-located” riverside pub is a hugely popular refuge from nearby Canary Wharf; its “upmarket British gastropub fare” is “top-quality” too, although it’s “expensive”, and service can be “slow”.

Press Reviews (1)

  • Guardian Matthew Norman (12th August 2008)
    7.45/10

Was it the joy of an away-day by the river that drew the critic to this East London boozer, which is hardly in its first flush of novelty? He concludes that this (already rather famous) establishment is “a very slick operation, if not a wilfully underpriced one, and just the sort of languid setting that makes you want to sit drinking until sundown”.
